2012 Season
Watson's Resort is now taking reservations for the 2012 season and so far, things are filling up fast for the Prime summer season. Lodge Units are very popular here at Watson's and Lodge unit openings during the prime summer season are becoming very limited. The time is now to make your reservation for the summer. Be a family again this summer, at Watson's Harverene Resort on Lake Chelan.

We would like to thank all our guests and tenants for another great summer at Watson's Resort. We are so very lucky to be able to attract the kind of guests and tenants that we have.
There are still four units for sale and some of these owners may be ready to deal so if you are interested in becoming part of the Watson's Resort family, now may be a very good time to buy. Barnstomp 2011
If you are a tenant or guest of Watson's Resort, plan now to attend the Aug. 6th Barnstomp Potluck and dance at Shadow Bay Belgians.
While this is not a resort event but rather a private event put on by Bob and Socco Watson, owners of Shadow Bay Belgians, all resort guests and tenants are invited to attend along with friends of the Watson Family.
You may begin arriving at the barn any time after 5:30pm on Aug. 6th. The band will fire up around 6pm and the dance will last until about 10pm.
This is a potluck type event so bring your favorite dish to share and please, do not be skimpy. There are lots of folks to share with and we feed the band.
This is a family event so kids are welcome and encouraged to attend. Please watch the children around the barn and horses however as this is a barn yard area. By attending, parents do so with the understanding that they are responsible for their children as well as with any guests they bring.
Bring your own beverage. Alcohol is allowed but we ask that all partake in a responsible and respectful manor, especially with all the kids around.
Pets are not allowed nor are bad attitudes. We gather to celebrate life and friendship at this event.

Summer is here
Summer is here and we are gearing up for another great July 4th weekend. For those having guests this weekend, please remember to have them sign in.
We hope to have Alpenhorn discount cards ready this July 4th weekend for all Tenants of Watson's Resort. Please do not loose them as you will only get one for the summer. We will also have discount cards for Guests staying at Watson's.
The Alpenhorn Cafe is up and operating under the new ownership of Watson's Harverene Resort. This is something we had not planned and only had eight days to get things up and running following the closing of the sale. Special thanks go out to the employees of both Watson's Resort as well as to the employees of the Alpenhorn for all their help. Hope you enjoy the food and changes we have made.

A Message Concerning the Alpenhorn Cafe
As many of you may have noticed, the Alpenhorn Cafe has not been open for business as in past years. We (Watson's Resort) know that many of you may be wondering what is going on. We just wanted to explain what is happening and what the future plans will be for the historic Alpenhorn Outdoor Cafe.
You may or may not know that Watson's Resort is the owner of the property in which the Alpenhorn is located. Watson's Resort leases this property to whoever owns the Alpenhorn business and its assets. The owners have stated taht they may not be able to operate the Alpenhorn this season stating "reasons beyond their control". Because of these most recent issues, Watson's Resort was faced with a variety of options.
Without getting into any detail, Watson's Resort decided to offer to purchase all assets from the owners and it appears that the owners are accepting our offer. If all goes as planned and Watson's Resort does obtain ownership of the Alpenhorn assets, we wil do what we can to get the Alpenhorn up and running as soon as possible. If all goes as planned, we hope to be up and running by July 4th weekend.
Needless to say, this is a new chapter in the Watson's Resort book but we will do our very best to provide to the tenants and guests of Watson's Resort as well as to all Alpehorn customers, "A Quality Product at a Reasonable Price, at a Clean Location, Served by a Friendly Staff who Appriciate you as a Customer". These are our goals.
We just wanted to pass this on so that all tenants and guests of Watson's Resort will know what is going on. We appreciate your support and patients during this transition.

Off to a great start.
I guess you can say that the summer season officially opened this past Memorial Day Weekend. It is our hopes that all our guests and tenants have a great summer experience while staying at Watson's Resort. One way to achieve this is the follow the rules and guidelines establish by Watson's Resort. Thank you for your help.
Trailers and Mobile homes for sale.
In early posts, you will see some trailers and Mobile Homes that we have listed as being for sale. There are two of these units that I can show as the owners have contacted me to show them. Any other interest is the other units, you will need to contact the number that is listed on the unit or in this forum.
For tenants who would like to have me show their units, please contact the office. I do charge a very reasonable percentage for my time if offering this service. My percent is based on the asking price when I agree to show the unit.
For those selling units, please understand that I am unable to make changes in information and price on a regular bases on this forum. Especially this time of year. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Summer Reminder to lease tenants
Please remember - Only small basic yard waste is allowed in the big truck from now on. If you have any major pruning debris from now on, it will need to be disposed of another way as the burn ban is now in affect in our Fire District and we have limited space for larger material. We are also expecting heavy drift wood this summer which we may have to add to our debris area. Thank you for your help.
Remember to also check your fire alarms and make sure you have at least one fire extig. in your unit if you lease a cottage from Watson's Resort. This is as per the signed lease.
ALL Guests must sign in upon arrival. This is for emergency reasons.
SPECIAL REQUEST FOR DOCKS - We have had a problem with guests and tenants taking chairs out on the dock. If you are not going to take the chair back to shore when finished, please do not take them out of the dock at all.
For the safety of you, your family and your guests, please be reminded that the water is low and kids should not be playing on the docks when the water level is down.
